Hello, thanks for the compliment on my blog. I have a look on your website . I feel your paintings, nude drawings , still lifes and casts very
good. There is something which is very mysterious with your realism. I like very much. I link you on my blog. Régis

Your work is of the finest quality. Just looking at it makes me want to be better. I love the way you show all the step by step progressions.
I want to ask you a question, if I may...
I am at the begining stages of my development as an artist and you have advanced to level that I aspire to...If you could go back in time and whisper something to yourself at my level, what advice would you give?

Thank you for the compliments Gregory! I think you are on the right track for being in the beginning stages. I think what's important is having that aspiration to get better. You wanna have that drive, the passion. If I was to go back in time when I was starting to paint in college, I would of been painting everyday. A painting a day, you learn so much by doing that. I always carry a sketch book with me, and that helps tremendously! If you are a good draftsman then painting is gonna be easy for you. Surround yourself with good artist to look up to, Dissect there technique, see what palette they use, try to think what they were thinking when they were painting. Most importantly do not settle for just alright, try to perfect your skills. Don't be easy on yourself be very critical and truthfull. Right now you are in the beginning stages and you need room for growth. You need to be very truthful with yourself and see what your weaknesses are and how to improve on them. There are many artist that start out and can not push themselves to that level because they just create so many excuses, or this and that. But if you are truthful to your self and see what you need to improve on, then you are ahead of the game. Last but not least have fun with it. Don't make it into a dreadful job, if its your passion, then continue on with it being your passion. If you have fun with it, then it will show in your art. You are on the right track Gregory, your drawings are great and your paintings are just as good!!! Take care!!
